Photoshop Friday Plugins: Bleach Bypass

Red Paw Media Image

Here’s a cool plugin from Red Paw Media called Bleach Bypass. In the past with film processing, bleach bypassing involved the partial or complete skipping of the bleaching stage during the processing of a colour film, resulting in a contrasty image with muted colours. This is a great little plugin which mimics the effect of bleach bypassing, and will give your images a  nice “film-like” quality. Looking at the example image on the Red Paw Media site, you can see the effect on a portrait photo, however, when I tried it I was especially pleased with the results on landscape and architecture shots too. This one is a free version of their Bleach Bypass Pro version, and it’s definitely worth checking out.

These are all for Windows only. Is there a listing showing the settings, since I use a Mac?
