The Scott Kelby 2008 Worldwide Photowalk

2008 Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk

This past Saturday (Aug 23rd, 2008) was the date of the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk, where photographers from all over the world signed up to be a part of this event in celebration of Scott’s new book: The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter)

Each city had a registered leader of the Photowalk, and a maximum of 50 photographers per city. It was entirely a social event where we all just got together at a predetermined location to shoot for a couple hours, then gather at a local restaurant for some good eats and to compare photos.

I, your site’s admin and Editor of the PhotographyBB Magaine – Dave Seeram, participated in this event and had a blast. The leader of the photowalk (David duChemin) did an amazing job organizing and leading the event, which for us was held in the Gastown area of Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. To see the photos from our event in Vancouver, click here to visit the Flickr group. Can you guess which photos were posted by us?

Lastly, we plan on doing an article in the PhotographyBB Online Magazine on this event, so if there were any participants (local or worldwide) who would like to contribute an image or two from their event, please contact us through the magazine (email address is provided on last page of each issue).

  1. I was one of the lucky participants on the Scott Kelby Photo Walk Lisbon (Portugal).
It was a very interesting event. In the beginning I thought I would be shy among so many good photographers, but at the end of the day I took even more (and better) pictures I have ever imagined.
    Thanks to the organizers.
Here is my Flickr set from this event.
