The Sandcarvers CD Release Event

sandcarversAs artistic photographers, we all appreciate art in its many forms. Along with photography, what better form of art is there than music! As seen in our recent Anniversary Issue of the PhotographyBB Magazine Online, our good friend and author Gareth Glynn Ash contributed an excellent article on how to take better concert photos. Gareth featured some great photos of The Sandcarvers, a band with which Gareth has a close connection to (his wife is a member of this smokin band). The Sandcarvers will be celebrating the release of their latest CD on March 13th, 2009 entitled “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” at Shank Hall, Milwaukee, WI. Read on for some free tracks off the new CD (highly recommended!) and more information on the release party.

This Celtic Rock Band have a unique and simply “awesome” feel-good sound, coupled with first-class quality production, and of course – the storytelling photography of our own Gareth Glynn Ash. The Sandcarvers have also prepared a little treat and teaser for us, by allowing all of the PhotographyBB visitors to download 4 sample tracks to get you hooked (I know I am!).

I’ll admit, I’m always wary when I see someone pushing a product, but I bit anyway. Anyone who takes such beatiful photos can’t have bad taste in music.

Boy am I glad I did, these guys are great!

Now, the only issue, the best art depends on the best presentation. The Sandcarvers music is dynamic, nuanced and very well recorded. Custom made for vinyl!
